Day 1: Departure – Cairo
Please arrive at the Egyptair counter two hours before your scheduled flight time. Check-in and boarding will take you to the flight for approximately five hours to Cairo, with lunch on board. Arrival and visa processing will follow, followed by transfer to your hotel and overnight stay.
Day 2: Cairo. Touring the Great Pyramids
Today, a day full of exciting moments awaits you in Cairo. You’ll start the morning by touring the true icon of Egypt: the impressive Pyramids of Giza. The imposing funerary monuments of the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure await to amaze you. Bring your camera fully charged because you’ll also come face-to-face with the beautiful and extraordinary Great Sphinx. Breakfast. Half-day tour including the famous pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure (entrance to the interior of the pyramids not included), as well as the impressive rock-carved Sphinx, visit to the Papyrus Institute where the artisanal production of Papyri will be demonstrated, in the afternoon, free time with the possibility of taking an excursion to Memphis and Saqqara for an additional fee on site: description: Departure approximately 25 km south of Cairo, where Memphis is located, center of worship of the God Ptah. Founded during the I Dynasty, it survived throughout Egyptian pharaonic history and became one of the greatest cities of antiquity. Its architectural and cultural display is headed by the Colossus of Ramses II, also worth mentioning the Alabaster Sphinx. West of Memphis is the Great Necropolis of Saqqara, one of the oldest royal necropolises. There, vestiges from the main periods of Egypt’s ancient history are preserved, highlighting the Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser. Return to Cairo. Lunch.
Day 3: Cairo: Pharaonic, Coptic, Islamic, and Monumental.
After breakfast at your hotel, you will have a free day with the option to take the optional excursion to Pharaonic, Coptic, and Islamic Cairo (additional charge at your destination). Description: You will depart for a full-day tour of the city. You will visit the Egyptian Museum of Pharaonic Art and the Citadel of Saladin, where the famous Alabaster Mosque stands out, its dome dominating the entire city. You will have lunch at a local restaurant and then enjoy free time at the Khan el-Khalili Grand Bazaar. To conclude the day, you will return to your hotel for the night.
Day 4: Cairo – Luxor. Discover ancient Egypt. (NILE CRUISE)
After a few days in Cairo, today your great journey on the Nile Cruise finally begins, traveler. Our guide will transfer you to the airport and take you on a scheduled Egyptair flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be taken to the pier, where you will board a boat that will be your home for the next few days. When the time comes, you will have a picnic dinner on board in your cabin.
DAY 5: Nile Cruise Luxor – Esna – Edfu Luxor. The ancient Nile and the magnificent temples
Full-board accommodation. Visit to the Valley of the Kings (3 tombs of the main Pharaohs). Since explanations of the tombs are not permitted inside the tombs, our guide will provide explanations outside (the Tomb of Tutankhamun is not included, since all the treasures are in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo). You will also visit the Colossi of Memnon, two impressive statues of Amenophis II, as well as the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Afterward, you will cross to the east bank of the Nile. There, you will visit the temples of Luxor and Karnak, an architectural complex featuring the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 columns, the obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Sacred Lake of Amun. In Luxor, you will spend the night on board. You will continue your journey and, after passing through the Esna Lock, you will arrive in Edfu, where you will spend the night. Overnight on board.
Day 6: Edfu – Kom Ombo – Aswan. A cruise along the branches of the Nile
Today, you will enjoy full board aboard the ship. At dawn, you will visit the Temple of Horus (a god represented by a falcon) in Edfu, one of the most beautiful temples from the Ptolemaic period in an exceptional state of preservation. Visit its temple, the only temple dedicated to two gods, Sobek and Haroesis. We will see a Nilometer (an ancient system for measuring the level of the Nile River) and a mummified crocodile. Sail to Aswan. At night, enjoy the Djellaba Night, which can be purchased at a reasonable price in local markets. Overnight on board.
DAY 7: Aswan – Nile Cruise and Natural Paradise
Full-board accommodation. Early morning ****Optional excursion to the Abu Simbel Temples for an additional fee at destination****. Later, visit the city of Aswan with the Temple of Isis (Philae), located on an island, accessed by speedboat. In the afternoon, take a ride on a «felucca,» a typical sailing boat from the area. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Aswan – Cairo – Sharm
Picnic breakfast. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport. There, you will board a flight to Sharm el-Skeikh via Cairo.
Days 9 to 10: Sharm (Red Sea). All inclusive
All inclusive (breakfast + lunch + dinner + local drinks). Free days on the magnificent, warm beaches of the Red Sea, where you will have the opportunity to practice water sports or go on excursions. Hotel accommodation.
Day 11: Sharm – Cairo – Spain.
See you soon to this ancient date, because you’ll want to come back soon.
After breakfast at your hotel in Sharm, traveler, at the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport.
